Stage Front has been on the leading edge of event ticket sales since 1984. The secondary ticketing pioneer for the sports and entertainment industry has grown dramatically in the past 40 years, now selling more than 300,000 tickets per month on its platform.

This state-of-the-art technology serves both buyers and sellers. On the sell side, Stage Front helps ticket brokers who list their inventory on the platform by delivering dynamic pricing and detailed analytics. On the buy side, Stage Front provides sports fans and concertgoers with access to their favorite teams and artists with up-to-the-minute, market-value prices.

When its retail website began to show signs of weakening performance, Stage Front engaged Seat 36’s Jared Frank to collaborate on a site update that better optimized keywords with more content.

Seat 36 delivered success by:

Conducting an audit of Stage Front’s top-five competitors to learn where gaps in its website strategy existed and uncover opportunities to close those gaps.

Researching keywords and search terms, then implementing that keyword research into the website’s 200,000 pages.

Following SEO best practices, including adding new content, internal/outbound links, and meta data, as well as ensuring proper keyword density and readability.

StageFrontTickets.com is a robust site of over 200,000 webpages. Every stadium, arena, performing arts center, concert venue, sports team, and touring artist has a page. It adds up quickly.

But while 200,000 pages existed, content was lean on each page – a schedule of events with purchase links, and that’s about it. Practical, yes, but not SEO-friendly. So Stage Front, leveraging Seat 36’s expertise in SEO content, went to work adding rich content built for SEO engines.

The team added custom editorial to all 200,000 pages using Stage Front’s proprietary CMS platform capable of page-specific keyword optimization and automatic updates. Stage Front assigned Seat 36 the most valuable venues and performers to ensure the highest quality on the most profitable pages.

Seat 36 followed all on-page SEO best practices to optimize accessibility and readability, in addition to keyword distribution. Those standards included inserting internal and outbound links, adding all meta data, using header tags to cluster content, confirming appropriate keyword density, and optimizing images. By the end of the project, StageFrontTickets.com went from zero pages optimized for search to 200,000.

The massive increase in SEO content translated to a significant boost in search rankings. Prior to this SEO project, StageFrontTickets.com ranked for zero keywords or search terms at the top of Google’s search engine results page (SERP). Now, the site ranks for over 100 on page one of Google’s SERP.

Logically, the elevation in SERP led to increased visibility and produced a sustained spike in website visitors. After the first year, StageFrontTickets.com experienced a 500% increase in traffic, and a whopping 2,400% by the end of year two.

Sales conversions followed – a 400% increase by year two. This number is even more important when considering the lifetime value of a new Stage Front customer who is now more likely to make StageFrontTickets.com their first choice when buying live event tickets.
